Two security guards were tied up with a rope during a robbery at a construction site last Tuesday evening.
Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the two guards were sitting inside a truck on site.
Two suspects, armed with a gun, suddenly opened the driver’s door of the truck and instructed them to get out of the truck and lie on the ground.

The suspects tied the hands of both guards with a rope before dragging the pair to the office.
Once there, two more suspects joined them and broke into the office, using a crowbar and made the guards lie on the floor.
The suspects took a fridge valued at R3 500 and the complainants’ cellphones.

Both victims untied themselves and waited for the next shift to report the matter.
The suspects gained entry to the site by cutting the fence.
