Springs Police work with Springsites to help the needy

Springs SAPS continue to help community in trying times

The Springs Police handed out certificates of appreciation to citizens who helped those who were in most need during the lockdown on Thursday at the Springs police station.

These kind residents went out of their way to donate blankets and clothes to the needy, while others started food banks and other various feeding schemes.

All of these services have eased the suffering of many residents who have suffered deeply due to retrenchment and loss of income.

Brig Thembeka Gwebushe says: “We want to maintain a friendly relationship between the police and business people of Springs.

“We are grateful for all their efforts, be it food banks or NPOs who shelter people, especially women and children who suffer from abuse at home.”
