A 38-year-old woman had her car and all her belongings stolen as she was leaving home on Wednesday morning.

Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was reversing her vehicle, a white Baic D20, reg no HP36SGGP 2018 model, out of the premises when a maroon/red coloured Mazda stopped behind her.

A suspect approached her window with a firearm and ordered her to get out of the car and leave everything inside.

The suspect drove off, with the Mazda following.

Inside the vehicle was the victim’s tablet, cellphone, wallet and bank cards and a baby seat. The estimated value of stolen goods, including the vehicle, is R150 000.

No shots were fired during the hijacking and no injuries were reported.
