Vita Nova’s director, Michelle Immelman, says: “We have really been struggling during the lockdown.

“We aren’t able to host any of our fund-raising events, which was a big part of our income.

“So we now ask very humbly if the people of Springs can help us out.”

Immelman says the centre is in need of the following items:

• soap

• toothpaste and tooth brushes

• Vaseline

• shampoo

• roll-on deodorant

• masks

• toilet paper

• face cloths

• Aqueous cream

• nappies, for babies and adults

• winter clothing of any kind
