Hope, Faith and Grace needs donations for new centre

The organisation already has a proposal in place and only requires funding to get the centre up and running.

Hope, Faith and Grace has set out an action plan to help the more vulnerable residents of Springs cope with the current lockdown and other long-term issues and asks the community to help them make this a possibility.

They plan on raising funds to build a centre that will help the most vulnerable and needy residents.

They primarily aim to reach out to the youth in the community, many of whom are dealing with anxiety, depression and substance abuse issues.

The centre will take in youths from the ages of 15 to 21 years old and will continue to operate after the lockdown.

Kerry-lee Wright, from Hope, Faith and Grace, says: “Organisations are pulling together to equip the youth at this centre mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically in order to help them deal with what they are currently going through.

“Our children, yours and mine, and each generation after this, will benefit from this facility.”

The youths will also take part in skills and development courses that the centre will provide, as well as a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA)-approved business course.

This will help combat the high unemployment rate and provide them with opportunities to improve their lives.

The organisation already has a proposal in place and only requires funding to get the centre up and running.
