Hand sanitizer handed to the vulnerable

Vilakazi says she and her team felt they needed to contribute to the nationwide effort to ‘flatten the curve’ of the Corona virus.

Ward 74 councilour Thulani Simelane and Judy Vilakazi from Epiroc joined forces to donate hand sanitiser to clinics and orphanages in Springs and KwaThema.

Vilakazi says she and her team felt they needed to contribute to the nationwide effort to flatten the curve of the coronavirus.

Together with a small team, Vilakazi and Simelane donated hand sanitiser to the Vita Nova Centre, Reedville Clinic, Springs Clinic, KwaThema Old Age Home and

various orphanages.

They also handed out pamphlets containing important information about the coronavirus.

Vilakazi says: “We felt there are many groups in Springs and KwaThema who are more vulnerable than others and they needed to be looked after as well.”

She adds it is the responsibility of everybody to do their part to prevent further spread of the virus and flatten the curve.
