Fire breaks out at Meat World
The store will be closed for a few days and residents will be updated when it is open for business again.
A fire broke out in the early hours of Friday morning at the Meat World store in Geduld.
The fire was mostly in the roof and ceiling.
Store owner Angelino Pereira says the rest of the store was fine and nobody was injured.
“The fire department also responded very quickly,” says Pereira.
When The Addie visited the store, it was closed and the employees were busy with clean-up.
The Fresh Produce Market was not affected by the fire.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
