Company loses stock worth R400 000 after hijacking

A white golf with blue lights also stopped behind the truck and four armed suspects wearing reflector jackets and bulletproof vests approached the victim.

A truck driver was hijacked after he was pulled over by what appeared to be a police van last Friday morning.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the truck driver was on the N12 East, just past the Etwatwa off-ramp, when a police van with blue lights on top indicated he should stop.

The victim didn’t stop, so the police van cut in front of the truck, forcing the driver to stop.
