A boy who dreams of flying meets a pigeon who wants to read.

The duo strike a deal, but who has the better deal in the charming story aimed at young readers?

It isn’t long before the boy discovers that being a bird has drawbacks when he is attacked by other birds as well as a farmer he meets on his journey.

He is soon ready to take back his own life as a boy, but the pigeon is having so much fun lazying around in the boy’s room with a great book that he may not be willing to trade places again, allowing the boy to take back his life.

This is a beautifully illustrated book which shows young children the power books have to take them anywhere they want to go using their imaginations.

It is part of the Acorn Growing Readers series which aims to instill a love of books in children from and early age.]
