Police recover stolen goods after four suspects were arrested

The suspects, who were three foreign nationals and one South African, were found with housebreaking instruments on them.

Springs police arrested four suspects in Payneville at 4am this morning.

The crime prevention team led by Capt Marvin Kasaven arrested the suspects in Honey Street after following up on information they had received about the suspects.

The suspects, who were three foreign nationals and one South African, were found with housebreaking instruments on them.

Additionally, the suspects led police to a house in Welgedacht where stolen items were recovered.

Const Lungelo Shezi, Const Collen Kwanele, Sgt Mandla Sibanyoni, Sgt Fusi Moulusi, Const Thulani Mashiyane and Const Dawie van den Bergh were hard at work at 4am to catch the suspects in Payneville.

One of the items recovered was a gun that belongs to a police officer that was stolen in a house robbery earlier this year.

The police also found three flat screen TVs, cellphones and ammunition.
