Rain not a problem for golfers at Pollak Park Golf Club

The day was rather wet after an initial pleasant start at 7am, but as usual some good scores were posted by some players who played very well on the rather well soaked course.

The rain was no problem for golfers determined to play over the weekend at the Pollak Park Golf Club.

There was no Meat Competition on Friday, but the Monthly Medal competition went ahead on Saturday.

In Division A, best gross went to Evan McKenzie with a total of 74 and Jaco Vrey had the best nett with 72.

In the 2 Clubs division, Justin Cunha won on the sixth, Jaco Vrey on the 13th and Frans du Toit on the 17th.

Additionally, last Saturday was the year-end final golf day held at Pollak Park.

The day was rather wet after an initial pleasant start at 7am, but as usual some good scores were posted by some players who played very well on the rather well soaked course.

“Due to the rain, the fairways could not be cut and the bunkers were rather muddy, but everyone enjoyed the outing and a very pleasant meal was followed by the annual prize-giving to those who had performed well over the past 12 months.
