A man has died after he was stabbed three times outside a recycling company in New Era.
Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was waiting at the gate of a recycling company to go inside to collect paper.

While waiting for another truck coming from the opposite direction to pass, the deceased decided to load airtime on his phone with his window open, when an unknown man suddenly showed up from the driver’s side, greeted him and and started stabbing him with a knife.
The victim was stabbed three times on his chest.
The victim tried to escape by running to the security guards at the gate, then came back and leaned on the truck and collapsed.

He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
The suspect was arrested a few hours after the murder.
