Willowmoore emerges victorious in cricket season

Willowmoore then booked their spot in the final against The Pitch Smashers.

It is said there has always been a big rivalry between these two teams.

The Pitch Smashers won the toss and elected to bat first.

They scored 146 runs in their 20 overs with the loss of 3 wickets.

A defendable score, but unfortunately for the Smashers, Willowmoore came out guns blazing.

They chased the score in 15.2 overs with the loss of 1 wicket and scored 150 runs to clinch the victory.

“Good knock in the final by the captain, Klaas Smit of Willowmoore, who scored 50 runs from 34 balls to make sure this time the team doesn’t choke.

“They have been in the finals for the past four seasons and choking.

“Well done Klaas for leading the boys to victory,” says Owen Chistinho, the administrator of LastManStands.

He adds that it has been a good season to Gavin Llyod of Willowmoore as well. He scooped the best batsman and best wicketkeeper of the season.
