Man hijacked in Skoonplaas ends up in Strubenvale

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim had just parked his car and was on his way to open the gate when four suspects, one of whom had a gun confronted him and forced him into the back of his car.

A man was ambushed at the gate of his house by four suspects on Monday evening, and then proceeded to steal his car.

The suspects,who were wearing gloves and balaclavas, drove around with the victim before dropping him off in Strubenvale.

The victim then walked around the area until he found a private security company car which took him to the police station.

Suspects also took the victim’s cellphone, a wallet and a driving licence.

Value of stolen vehicle is R150 000.

No shots were fired during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
