CPF members certified in first aid

Casseldale and Strubenvale CPF members had the opportunity to be educated in level one first aid.

CPF members from Casseldale and Strubenvale who took part in the first aid training provided by BJS Risk Assessment and Training.

“I think it is very important for the CPF to know first aid because they are usually the first on the scenes of medical emergencies.

“We are faced with a lot of life and death situations.”

He says he hopes this will encourage the community to trust the CPF more.

“Some people do not take what we do seriously, so the more we know the more equipped we are to do a better job.”

Snyman says it was his son, Ferdie, who encouraged him to sponsor the training.

The group have done practical and theory training.

The course was rolled out over two Saturdays.

They will receive level one first aid certificates recognised nationally.

“The group has worked very hard in training.

“I cannot wait to see them put their new skills to good use.”

The training, practicals and exam took place on Fifth Avenue.
