Springs Library remains closed, with no information on when it will re-open.
The library has been closed since January after the ceiling was damaged during a thunderstorm.

In May, the metro had indicated that the library would remain closed until they sourced funds to do the following repairs:
• Replace the damaged waterproofing on the roof to stop leakage from the roof that causes damage to all internal assets
• Repair/replace the electrical wiring that has been damaged as a result of the roof leakage
• Replace damaged carpets
• Paint the walls
• Replace damaged cupboards and other minor things.
