EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng says drivers were arrested for not having their drivers’ licences while behind the steering wheel, driving with expired professional driving permits and failing to register and license their vehicles.

“Some were found driving with faulty brake lights, not wearing a safety belt and failing to affix registration plates,” said the spokesperson.

Mokheseng says a white imported Ford Focus, displaying an expired temporary import permit and terminated authorisation travel document without relevant Sars certificates and driven by a 45-year-old man, was impounded.
