Metro responds to electricity problem in Springs Extension

An Aluminium cable had a fault and needed to be repaired.

In an article titled ‘Residents unhappy with metro’s answers’ published on July 18, Nhlanhla Cebekhulu, the divisional head of communication and media relations of the metro stated the following:

“An Aluminium cable had a fault and needed to be repaired.

“A number of houses are supplied by the electrical cable.

“However, two of the cores of the cable had no power, while one cable core was undamaged.”

He adds that, “In this case the repair process was delayed due to factors related to the ending of the financial year in June 2019.

“The cable was fixed and upgraded.”
