Shop for a good cause at the Hospice East Rand shop

“You can come get a bargain and help someone in need,” says shop manager Corné Coonmans.

Bargain hunters are in for a treat as the Hospice East Rand shop will be having a half price sale next Wednesday.

The hospice shop raises funds for the Hopsice East Rand which looks after terminally ill patients and the money goes towards doctors’ fees, pain medication and walking aids among other things.

Various items will be on sale with jeans starting from as little as R10.

“It’s amazing what you can find at the shop as we sometimes receive clothes that still have the shop tags attached.

“You can come get a bargain and help someone in need,” says shop manager Corné Coonmans.

The shop is also looking for donations for items they can sell like cutlery, crockey, linen, ornaments, men, women’s and children’s clothing, working electrical appliances, toys and furniture.

Should you not be able to come into the shop, the shop can come and collect your donation.

Volunteers to help with the unpacking and sorting of the items at the shop are most welcome.

“Everything we do is a team effort.

“I’m so grateful to the volunteers we have now that help and support us,” says Coonmans.

The shop can be found at 210 Nigel Road, Selcourt.

Operating times are Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
