The karatekas engaged in two distinct disciplines, kata and kumite.

Both of these disciplines require high levels of concentration and dedication.

Kata refers to a series of choreographed moves performed either alone or in a group and there is no contact involved with an adversary.

Kumite is similar to kata, but involves an adversary.

Sensei Fanie Meyer and sensei Fanie du Plessis say they are extremely proud of the boys’ performance and believe that they will go on to achieve great things in the sport.
