An operation conducted in KwaThema on Tuesday yielded a suspected drug dealer and an assortment of narcotics valued at R16 600.
The local man was arrested around 1pm by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members and detained at KwaThema Police Station.
When the house on Malifika Street was searched, 106 half Mandrax tablets, six half-moon crack cocaine, two khat ziplock bags and 14 ziplock bags with crack cocaine containing 31 pieces were uncovered.

Additionally, cash amounting to just under a thousand rand suspected to be proceeds from selling narcotics was also confiscated.
The 30-year-old South African man was charged with possession and dealing in narcotics at KwaThema Police Station.
He is expected to appear in the KwaThema Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
