Springs Country Club members compete in club competitions

Shelton Masiya was selected to represent Ekurhuleni Golf Union Caddy Side in a quadrangular match at Irene on May 13.

 

The Springs Country Club held a Betterball Medal competition over the weekend and below are the results:

First were Jan Els and Willie du Randt at 61 nett.

Second were Henry Stokes and Jorsie Lira at 68 nett.

In the Senior Handicap League, the Springs Country Club beat Daveyton four to two.

Shelton Masiya was selected to represent Ekurhuleni Golf Union Caddy Side in a quadrangular match at Irene on May 13.

Club captain Deon Kotze says: “We are very proud of Shelton.

“He is the second player from Springs to have received representative colours this year after Enrico Greef, who made the u-13 squad.”

The Springs Country Club will be hosting an Ekurhuleni Golf Union Seniors Tournament on May 26.

Entries for the tournament close on May 21.

Kotze is asking Springsites to please support the Joker Draw every Friday and come support the happy hour from 5pm to 6pm and try their luck at the jackpot.

“There will also be light meals available,” says Kotze.
