“We made some plans to build a new sump to replace the vandalised pump station.

“We needed to do designs and procure services of a contractor to execute the work and also had to budget for this work.

“A new pump station was built next to the road and the sewerage system was connected at the end of October 2018.

“We are doing level control on the new sump every one and a half to two weeks.

“The sumps are now operational and there is no sewage overflow being experienced,” says Gadebe.
