An Everest man was burnt to death after an attempted robbery.
The man attempted to rob a shop in Everest but was interrupted by the community who then gave chase.
The suspect fled towards the open field and was severely assaulted and burnt beyond recognition.

“If a crime has been committed, we urge the public to refrain from taking the law into their on hands.
“They must restrain the suspect and hand him over to the police.
“Mob justice is not the way to go,” says Springs Police spokesperson Captain Johannes Ramphora.
