They also had their 50th annual general meeting and elected two new committee members.

The Springs Old Boys Bowling Club held their end of season prize-giving on Sunday morning.

They also had their 50th annual general meeting and elected two new committee members.

Bea Goose was chosen as chairperson, Sharon Pratt is the secretary, Margaret MacDonald is the treasurer and the rest of the committee was made up of Estelle Maartens, Lyn Siederer, Paula Birbeck, Stuart Pollok and Brentley Harrison.

Goose says: “We’re happy with the bowling club and we’re looking for new members.

“The new season has just ended and for those who want to join us, coaching is available.

“We play on Tuesdays at 9am and on Saturdays from 1.30pm.”

The prize winners are as follows:

Mixed pairs winners: Cindy Hinrichsen and Nigel Williams.

Runners-up for mixed pairs: Lorna Bunting and Robin Clarke.

Men’s pairs winners: Nigel and Michael Williams

Runners-up for men’s pairs: Mike Clarke and Jon Birbeck.

Ladies’ pairs winners: Cindy Hinrichsen and Sharon Pratt.

Runners-up for ladies’ pairs: Lyn Siederer and Estelle Maartens.

Ladies’ open singles winner: Lorna Bunting.

Runner-up for ladies’ open singles: Estelle Maartens.

Ladies’ senior singles winner: Paula Birbeck.

Runner-up for ladies’ senior singles: Sharon Pratt.
