Jolly Brothers lose to Gemengde Bende

Jolly Brothers lose again.

The Jolly Brothers got a whipping yet again this weekend.

Gemengde Bende won the toss and elected to bat first.

They posted 153 from their 20 overs and lost seven wickets.

Gemengde Bende’s captain, Nelis van Dyk, steered his team to victory as he knocked 56 runs from 31 balls to cement the victory.

Van Dyk also did magic with the ball taking three wickets in his four overs and only conceding 14 runs.

Jolly Brothers struggled in their batting.

Wickets tumbled and they only managed to score 98 runs from 17.3 overs with all eight wickets down.

In the other game, Willowmore seemed to not have found a solution to beat Liebherr Legends.

For the third time around Willowmore choked against the Legends.

Liebherr Legends batted first and scored 124 from 18.3 overs with all eight wickets down.

One-hundred-and-twenty-four is a chasable score considering the great form of Hein Loots, André Schoeman and Gavin Llyod with the bat, as well as Christo Wessels with the ball.

This, however, was proved wrong by Liebherr Legends who fought like lions.

JJ Coetzee was superb with the ball taking four wickets from his four overs and only conceding 25 runs.

Morné van Eeden wrapped up the show by taking two wickets from his 2.2 overs and conceding 15 runs.

Willowmore only managed to score 69 runs from 10.2 overs with all eight wickets down.

This loss saw them tumbling down to the second position on the log from the top position they claimed last week.

Benoni Bench Warmers are back on top after tumbling down last week.
