Capt Johannes Ramphora says the suspects tied the two guards up with cable ties inside the guard room.

“The suspects took their service firearms and proceeded to the factory office, breaking through a wall to gain entrance,” he says.

The suspects cut the safe open and took R200 000 in cash and two company laptops.

“Their search was cut short by a security vehicle visiting the site and they fled the scene.”

The third security guard left his vehicle, untied the two security guards and called the police.

A case of business robbery was opened.
