• Selcourt Methodist Church will be hosting an education dedication service for local schools starting at 9.30am. This service is aimed at praying for each principal, educator and the learner’s leadership team. Learners are asked to come dressed neatly in their school uniform. This service will be held at our church premises, 7 Granada Road, Selcourt. Contact Enoch Mhlanga on 011 818 3713.

• Jeff Mathee, a director at Malherbe Rigg & Ranwell Inc, will be the guest speaker at the Garland Ladies Luncheon to be held at Ebotse Golf Estate. His topic will be Oscar Pistorius. • Miniature Showcase at the Parkhurst Recreation Centre, on the corner of 13th Street and 5th Avenue, starting at 9am. Miniatures, dollhouse accessories and supplies will be on sale. There is no entrance fee but donations to Cerebral Palsy would be welcome. For more information contact Sue Engall on 011 787 2340.

21 January (Sunday):

Guided group tour through Melville Koppies Central. Sets off 8.30am sharp. Park in the upper car park at Marks Park, Judith Road, Emmarentia. Then walk across Judith to our entrance opposite.
