SOB u-7 soccer players beat Benoni All Stars 7-0

Springs Old Boys (SOB) Soccer Club’s u-7 team played against Benoni All Stars on Springs home grounds on Sunday.

Springs Old Boys Soccer Club hosted junior games at Old Boys on Saturday.

Despite the cold weather, these young soccer players were eager to prove their soccer skills.

The u-7 team played against Benoni All Stars and won their match by seven goals to nil.

The first three goals were scored by Lesedi Monanthane.

Prince Phiri scored two more and the other two goals were scored by Nolo.

“It was a great game for the boys, they really showed a lot of hard work during the match,” says Kelly Clarke, SOB Coach.

“We are hoping for great results on our next match.”

Also, the SOB U8 played against Bedfordview and won 3-0, with the u-11s taking Olympia with a score line of 6-0.

Several other matches had to be cancelled due to the weather.

“Unfortunately the cold front seemed to bring a widespread [influx] of colds and flu and the other opposition teams could not make it to their games,” says Wilma Ackerman from the club.
