We all remember those days in high school when, on occasion, boys would settle their differences by trading punches in the parking lot or behind the bicycle shed where the teachers couldn’t see.

Of course, back then, the one thing just about every student wanted to see, was two of their teachers having a throw down in front of the entire school.

In the comedy Fist Fight, high school students get to see two of their teachers going head-to-head when they decide to settle their differences the old fashioned way – by having a fight at the end of the day.

It’s the last day of school, before summer vacation.

In the middle of all the outrageous and out of control senior pranks (including a horse running through the hallways and students mowing obscene gestures on the lawn) and the threat of retrenchments, Andy Campbell, the school’s mild mannered, all round nice guy, is doing his best to avoid conflict of any kind.

Unfortunately, his attempts to stay out of trouble go horribly awry when he unintentionally ‘squeals’ on his colleague, the intimidating, tough-as-nails, no-nonsense history teacher, Ron Strickland.

Andy’s ‘squealing’, results in Strickland losing his job.

Outraged, the history teacher challenges Andy to a fight in the school parking lot, at the end of the day.

Having no clue how to stand up for himself let alone throw a single punch, Andy embarks on a mission to do whatever he can to “chicken” out of the fight.

However, every plan he comes up with seems to backfire in a spectacular way and, as news of the fight spreads beyond the school grounds, he finally agrees to confront his opponent.

Even if it does mean he’s going to get a serious beating.

If you want to see two teachers trading punches at the end of the day, look out for Fist Fight which is now available on DVD.
