Selcourt family hijacked in driveway

Two armed hijackers drove off in BMW.

On Monday, the owner of a silver BMW stood helplessly by as two suspects hijacked his vehicle.

He was waiting in his car at 7pm, for his wife to open the gate at their home in Bonaza Street, Selcourt when he noticed a white Nissan Tida parked behind them.

Two armed suspects got out of the vehicle and approached him.

SAPS spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the suspects ordered the two victims to lie down on the ground.

“The hijackers got into the BMW and drove off with the driver of the Nissan following them,” he says.

Police found the vehicle in KwaThema Extension Four at 9pm.
