Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says the police reacted to a call from a resident about the body near Ekutuleni Street at 6.25am.

The deceased had a bullet wound to his forehead.
“We found a 9mm cartridge and a knife next to the body,” he says.
Ramphora says the resident says he heard a gunshot at midnight.
