Gadebe says the community of ward 75, Welgedacht and the metro contractor reached an agreement regarding employment which led to the sudden repairs of the road.

“Construction is not yet completed and there are other excavations planned for Welgedacht Road,” says Gadebe.
Welgedacht resident Gert Botain says it looks like the contracted completed the job last week and white road markings are visible.

“Hopefully the metro will fix the rest of Welgedacht Road as well in the near future,” he says.
