No protests in Springs, as hundreds gather elsewhere

Hundreds, if not thousands, of South Africans have gathered at different locations in the country.

Numerous Springs residents have responded to a question posed by the Addie, asking if residents will join in any type of protest action, who said they will be participating.

Despite this, nothing seems to be happening in Springs and all is quiet.

Captain Johannes Ramphora spokesman for the Springs police says they haven’t heard of any unrest as yet.

The question posed to the community on social media was as follows:

What will you be doing?
We want to know what our community thinks of the situation, will the community be joining any protest action tomorrow?
a) No, I’m not interested in politics.
b) Yes, we need to stand together!
c) I’ll see how I feel in the morning…
