Hijacked when asking Springs Mall whereabouts

A 34-year-old man was hijacked on March 18 at around 4.30pm when he stopped to ask for directions to the Springs Mall.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, says the victim was driving his Ford Everest along Wit Road when he stopped at a robot to ask a man for directions to the mall.

“The suspect told the victim he also wanted to go to the Springs Mall and the victim then told the suspect he could give him a lift,” says Ramphora.
