One of the suspects entered the shop first at 9.07pm, pretending to buy ice with a R10 note.
SAPS spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says as soon as the suspect put the money on the counter he pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the two cashiers.

The other three suspects went behind the counter to take cigarettes to the value of R1 000.
“They also took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot,” says Ramphora.
