Three suspects target Bakerton resident

Three men surprised a Bakerton resident who was in his garage at 8.20pm, on Saturday.

The 49-year-old resident was changing a tyre on his vehicle.

Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says the robbers, one armed with a firearm, were wearing blue overalls with reflective crosses at the back.

The armed suspect pointed the firearm at the resident and ordered him not to scream.

“They demanded cash and started searching the resident after he was pushed to the ground,” says Ramphora.

They took the resident’s wallet, containing bank cards, his driver’s licence, R3 000 in cash, the keys to his vehicle and the car’s jack and fled the scene.
