Bedfordview defeat SOB cricket team

Springs Old Boys (SOB) Directors cricket team played against Bedfordview at Old Boys on Sunday.

Paul Lynskey from Old Boys says Bedfordview won the toss and batted first.

The team won the match by setting a total of 291 runs.

“We managed to bowl Bedfordview out in 39 overs of the allotted 50 overs,” he says.

During the Bedfordview batting innings, the following SOB bowlers performed well:

Marko Greyvenstein was the top bowler of match and bowled 10 overs and took six wickets for 47 runs, while Brandon Steyn bowled eight overs, took one wicket for 35 runs.

Keagan Lynsky bowled five overs, took one wicket for 29 runs and Rubin Greyling bowled four overs and took one wicket for 36 runs.

SOB then batted for the second half of the match and were only able to reach a total of 132 runs in 32 overs.

The best performing batsmen were Stefan Lubbe, who made 31 runs, Cullam Botha who made 25 runs (not out) and Rubin, who made 22 runs.

Bedfordview won the match by 159 runs.
