Ten-year-old Ché-Lee to launch debut album

At only 10, Benoni resident Ché-Lee Nel is already a professional singer, actress, model and motivational speaker.

She will be launching her debut album in the Mardi Gras Theatre at Carnival City on February 11, when she will introduce the audience to each of her songs live on stage.

“Carnival City is a proud supporter of local, emerging talent, so we consider it a privilege to host a little star with this much determination and passion,” says Michelle Smith, marketing manager of Carnival City.

“Ché-Lee is an inspiration and make us look at our own lives to see where we could improve and better utilise our talents.”

What further sets the young star apart is that Ché-Lee is 100% deaf in her right ear and 60% deaf in her left ear.

Despite this challenge, Ché-Lee has been offered a recording deal with Atlantic Records in America.

She was scouted by Atlantic when she performed on stage at the International Arts showcase in Florida with over 1 000 other performers.

It seems success runs in the Nel family.

Not only does she perform, but Ché-Lee is also Miss Pre-Teen Gauteng, whilst her parents boast the titles Mr and Mrs Gauteng 2016/2017.

Performing an array of songs, this lively, energetic little star is set to entertain both young and old.

The launch is a fundraiser and proceeds will be donated to the charity of Ché-Lee’s choice, the Role Model Foundation.

The show starts at 6.30pm and should finish by 10.30pm.
