Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the man parked his black VW Polo outside his friend’s house at 6.30pm when a black VW Amarok double-cab stopped next to him.
Two armed suspects got out of the Amarok and pulled the man from his Polo, then climbed into his vehicle and drove off.

“Inside the Polo was a laptop and the man’s cellphone,” says Ramphora.
Although a tracking device was installed in the Polo, the police could not confirm whether the vehicle had been found at the time of publishing.

A case of hijacking is being investigated by the police.
