The 18-year-old was walking along the the road when she saw an unknown man approaching her.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the teenager claims the robber pulled out a knife and threatened her.

He then grabbed the teenager’s handbag and fled the scene in a vehicle.
“The vehicle allegedly had no registration plates,” says Ramphora.

A case of robbery with a weapon or instrument other than a firearm was opened at the police station.
