More 67 minutes are needed

Members from Oak of Glory Ministries showed God's love to the community of Jacob's Farm for their 67 Minutes for Mandela.

Senior pastor Lucky Ncayiyana says they gave the residents a message of hope in addition to groceries and food.

Lucky says the farm was owned by someone called Jacob some decades ago and the people used to work on the farm.

“A few houses were built by the farmer to accommodate his workers where people who were born in this area still reside,” he says.

Within each household there are no gainfully employed members and most families survive by means of child support grants.

That’s why the church reached out to the few residents left at the farm.

Lucky says there is no running water and the residents depend on municipal water deliveries.

Luck says the residents enjoyed the message of good hope and the worship music, with a few of them singing along.

Every household received a food parcel that will help them for a few days.

Lucky says, “The situation is dire and these people are desperate for help, and more than 67 minutes are needed to provide for their needs.”

“God was a winner once again and we are grateful for the contributions from our sponsors on the day,” adds Lucky.
