People welcome soup donation

A group of Selpark CPF members volunteered their services by handing out soup at Selcourt Towers.

CPF secretary Stacy Taljaard says they decided to take Mandela Day action on Sunday as most of them are working on Monday, July 18.

“The soup was a good gesture and the weather played along very well,” she says.

Starting at 11am, the vegetable, mushroom and corn soup only lasted a few minutes.

“We never expected the soup would go that quickly,” she says. “It wasn’t 67 minutes, but the intention behind the idea was good.”
