A woman was shot dead in front of Springs Girls’ High School, in Selcourt this afternoon (May 26).
It is alleged she was shot during a hijacking attempt.
According to witnesses on the scene, the woman fetched her child from school at 4pm, when she was shot.
The deceased’s daughter was allegedly in the car with her and allegedly witnessed the shooting.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.
The Springs police were still at the scene of crime at 7pm and no other information could be give to the Advertiser at the time.
It is not sure how many suspects were involved.
