SAPS launch outreach programme for underprivileged children

Springs police will host an outreach programme for disadvantage children on April 26.

The event will take place between 10am and 4pm at the police lapa.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says underprivileged children will be spoiled on the day.

The aim of the project is to entertain the children with music, jumping castles and other fun games.

EMPD K9 Unit members will present a show as well to inform the children of what their dogs are capable of doing.

“The children will also be treated to something to eat and drink,” says Ramphora.

The police urge the community and the business sectors to get involved by donating any non perishable goods that will be handed over to the children on the day.

Anyone interested in making a donation, can contact Sheila Ramlall on 011 365 5700/19/20.
