Two robbers entered the premises at around 8pm and pointed their firearms at the security guard.
The duo took the guard to the canteen, where they they took approximately R500.
Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says the robbers fled the scene in a red Mazda.
A case of business robbery has been opened and investigations are still underway.
Ramphora says that, according to the guard, the gates are opened a lot during the night, due to deliveries.
“The duo gained entrance to the premises through the gates,” he adds.
