Rachel Howard, the club pro, says the festival was well supported by both members and visitors.

All players had the opportunity to play in the challenge and to enter their best two scores out of four rounds to become the Festival Champion.

The results are as follows:

Alan Naude is the Friday IPS winner with 41 points and John Little took second place with 38 points on count out.

Saturday’s Betterball Stableford winners are Grant Gladwyn and Kevin Roache with 46 points.

Mike Flynn and Bruce Carlyon followed in close second place with 45 points.

The Jack Pot game, played on Sunday, was won by Hennie Willemse with 21 points followed by Werner du Toit on 19 points.

The winners of the Fourball Alliance, played on Monday, are Wayne Lee, Evan Mckenzie, Steve Malloy and Donovan Grobler with 85 points on count out.

The Festival Champion is Garth McKay with 80 points who also took the Best Dressed award.

“Thank you to all the members and guests for playing in our festival,” says Rachel.

The monthly Ginger Golf Day also took place on Saturday and the winner is Brian Fox on a score of 39 points.

He is also the trophy winner.

Ian Gould sponsored the day in honour of his late father Alan Gould.

Runner-up on count out, also on 39 points, is Dave Hearnshaw, followed by Coenie Lombard in third place with 37 points.

Bruce Gardner took nearest the pin and the longest day player is Hester Nel.

The next Gingers Day game will be on April 30 and will be sponsored by Hester Nel, Bruce McKenzie and Brendan Keogh.
