The Addie has previously reported about the lights in Nigel Road which are not working.
Andrew, who lodged a complaint in December regarding the lights, claim they are still not working.
“I have been to lodge many complaints since December, it is not safe for residents or motorists if the lights do not work,” says Andrew.
“Ekurhuleni Metro told me in December that it takes up to 28 working days for the problem to be rectified once a complaint is lodged but Nigel Road is too busy to wait that long,” adds Andrew.
The Nigel Road resident claims that the lights have not been working for four months.
“I have fought with many people in order to try and get the lights working again, my house has been burgled twice in the last four months and it is because of the lights that are not working,” says Andrew.
The Addie has previously requested comment from metro regarding the street lights and is yet to receive any.
