Cemetery’s fate outrages Springs residents
Springsites were outraged when they saw that the Geduld Cemetery is on a list of sites to be demolished.
This follows an article, (Inactive cemetery to be demolished), that stated the Ekurhuleni Metro will not repair a building on the site after it was destroyed by a fire.
“There are illegal occupants living at the cemetery and there is no use for the building as it is an inactive cemetery,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.

Ellie Daws Disgusting. Those graves were paid for and tombstones don’t come free. They will have to compensate the families and pay for relocation. The reason why people don’t go there so often, is there are dodgy tramps etc in the vacinity and ladies can’t go there alone. World war 3 here we come.
