More gifts for Geduld children

Cindy-Lee Burrell, Miss Mad Rage 2015, enjoyed handing out gifts to needy children at a function held at the Auxano Seventh Day Adventist Church in Geduld on Sunday.

The aim of the day was to get the children in a Christmas festive mood and to feed the families.

She says seeing the children’s facial expressions change when they receive the gift is amazing.

The event started at 10am, when the children were playing games including musical chairs and looking for sweets in flour.

Jenn Duvenage says her son Seth Duvenage (2) was more interested in the jumping castle than any of the games played.

He wasn’t even interested in a Christmas gift and refused to get off the jumping castle.

Andries Ferreira from Mad Rage Against Child Abuse, says it is all about the children.

“The children had so much fun with all the games played earlier on the day,” says Andries.

Instead of hosting separate events for the same people, Mad Rage, bikers from the End of Time Messengers, Wild Wild Guardian and the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) decided to host a combined event.

Andries says it worked out for the better and everyone focussed on the needy family and children.
